GUILD WARS 2 SLANG
Hey folks, how’s it going? Let’s dive straight in.
In Guild Wars 2, you can’t just write long essays to chat with other players. Like every game, GW2 has its own set of abbreviations. Even some veteran players get confused sometimes. Our goal here: go through the commonly used abbreviations. They can save your life in chat or in the LFG system, seriously.
Quick example: you don’t type “I must look in Trading Post!” Instead, it’s TP for Trading Post. Some people even use AH for Action House, but 95% of the time it’s TP. And TP isn’t only for Trading Post—it can also mean Teleport to friends. Confusing? A little. Stick with me.
Here’s a starter pack of abbreviations I can think of:
-
WB – World Boss
-
WP – Waypoint
-
CC – Crowd Control
-
Com – Commander
-
Ment – Mentor
-
JP – Jumping Puzzle
-
T1-2-3-4 – Tier
-
Adps – Alac DPS (support)
-
Qdps – Quickness DPS (support)
Every open-world meta has its own abbreviations. For example:
-
Auric Basin meta → AB
-
Tangle Depth meta → Chak
Strike missions? IBS 5 + DR → Icebrood Saga + Dragonstorm.
Raids are called Wings, 8 in total, abbreviated as W1-8.
-
FC – Full Clear
-
HK – Hand Kite
-
Rez – Revive downed players
-
33/66 – Portal opening percentages in Fractals
-
Li – Legendary Insight
UFE – [Unstable Fractal Essence]
-
KP – Kill Proof
If you’re aiming for endgame or hard content, KP is essential. It saves you from constantly linking stats while partying. When you have a killproof.me profile party leaders and other players can check how many times you’ve done a content. It keeps things transparent for raids, fractals, strike missions, and their CM versions.
I’ll cover useful add-ons in another post, but seriously, if you don’t have a killproof.me profile yet, check out a guide on how to make one and use it properly. It will make your life a lot easier.
Alright, here’s the deal with your killproof.me: it’s not just for show. It basically acts like a personal bodyguard for your tokens—keeps them safe in your bag or bank so your slots don’t get cluttered or wasted. Every time you finish content, all the tokens you earn get logged. Super chill, right?
And hey, don’t forget this perk—it’s basically a little gift from the game to make your life easier.
Want all the nitty-gritty details? Check the link https://killproof.me/. Oh, and let’s not forget: any platform that helps out the GW2 community deserves our support. Big thanks to everyone keeping the game awesome!
Once you start using killproof.me account your profile will look something like this. And of course, other players will be able to see each other too—so everyone knows who’s who in the endgame jungle.
Important Note: You need to occasionally visit killproof.me and refresh your profile page to ensure your KP and tokens are updated.
