Roller Mounts (Need Achievement)

In my previous post, I tried to briefly explain what, where, and how to obtain the mounts that do not require achievements.
In this post, I will try to explain the mounts that are obtained through achievements.
If we list the mounts obtained via achievements, they are: Roller Beetle, Skyscale, Griffon, Siege Turtle, and Warclaw (Previously unlocked by collecting WvW experience points, but now directly obtained with the Janthir Wilds DLC).

- Roller Beetle -

This mount looks a bit like a snail but also gives you the thrill of riding a MotoGP bike.

Unfortunately, it’s not like a Raptor or Springer where you can just roam the map, complete a heart quest, pay 5–10 gold to an NPC, and add it to your mount collection.

It joined us during Living World Season 4, and we could say it’s the buddy—best friend, even—of Taimi. I’m talking about our very own researcher, professor, associate professor, and doctor: Gorrik 😄.

You’ll need to interact with Gorrik in several different locations and complete certain achievements he requests from you.

First, we find Gorrik in the Domain of Kourna map, together with his smart robot, repairing one or two Roller Beetles.
The atmosphere there almost feels like a Harley-Davidson repair shop.

After speaking with Gorrik, we begin the tasks.

So, if you’re wondering, “What advantage will we have after all this effort to obtain this mount?”—here’s the answer:

Its best feature is that it’s the fastest land mount in the game.

Especially on desert maps with flat terrain, it can save us a lot of time.

Whenever there’s an event, world boss, or rift happening on the map and only a few seconds remain, the Roller Beetle can get us anywhere in no time—almost like riding a motorcycle.
