MAD KING EVENT !!!
Hello dear readers! Guild Wars 2 is back at it again with some fresh updates. Over the past month, players had a blast with the Fractal Bonus Event. And guess what? Even before that event ended, the Mad King Event hit the game last night, and I think it made us all super happy.
With the Fractal Bonus Event, we got two bag expansion tokens—yep, two 20-slot bags. We also got a stat-selectable accessory with +10 agony, plus some Renga color stones that add +5 power and +9 agony while making our weapons look snazzy. For those of us who farmed well (like yours truly), I’d say it was a pretty profitable month. Nearly 2000 Fractal boxes, some with +9 agony stones, and let’s not forget the Legendary Hand Armor piece, which might be one of the easiest-to-get legendary pieces in the game, folks.
Oh, and speaking of achievements, there’s the Season of Dragons. Complete it and you snag a free legendary amulet! But… it’s a loooong grind. You basically have to finish all story content in the game (except the last 3 DLCs), from the main story up to Saga. Honestly, I could write a whole separate post—or even make a YouTube video—just on that. Good idea, huh? Speaking of which, if you’re not following me on YouTube, I’d be a bit sad 😢. But seriously, subscribing and watching videos is what motivates me to keep creating awesome content for you.Youtube Yusking
Now, some people might think, “Wow, this guy is just messing around with trivial stuff.” At first glance, maybe. But in just two months, over 700 people visited my site, and 80 of them became regular readers. In a game with 21 million players, reaching and entertaining 80 people in two months is a pretty big deal for me. Some folks compare my site and channel to bigger ones—but hey, they’ve been around for years. Mine is just two months old, so let’s remember that. Together, we’ll grow, learn, and have fun along the way.
Truth be told, my own family doesn’t support my site or YouTube efforts. They even tease me, saying, “You’re wasting your time, you’ll fail, give up.” But I’m going the opposite route—I’m pushing through and believe I’ll succeed. Sure, I have gaps in knowledge and maybe things I don’t fully understand yet. But I’m learning, creating useful content, and I truly believe one day I’ll see the results pay off. Enough drama—let’s get back on topic.
The Mad King Event is here! With new weapon skins and unique achievements, it’s packed with content. So, what should we do? How can we make the most of it? And if I’m not level 80 yet, can I still get something from it? I’ll try to answer all your questions. Remember, I’ve been playing this game for 5-6 years, just like many of you.
Mad King Event?
This is a Halloween-themed event. It turns Lion’s Arch into a spooky nighttime wonderland with pumpkin lights and a super cute atmosphere. There’s a special dungeon called the Labyrinth, which you can farm endlessly. There’s also a jumping puzzle—both normal and timed modes. (Don’t worry, I’ll make a dedicated post about JP soon 😉).
In Lion’s Arch, there’s a “Your Mad King Says” meta event. Mad King shows up, people gather, and you complete the event by following his commands and using emojis. Complete this event three times, and you get a key to open the chest in the square. Inside? Surprise items!
What can you get from the Mad King Event?
Probably the biggest question right now. You already farmed gold and materials in the Fractal Event, so what’s the payoff here? Gold, obviously! Stack Trick and Treat bags up to 250 and sell them for a nice gold profit. To farm fast, head into the Labyrinth.
Beyond that, the event’s unique mobs drop Corn Coins, which you can use to buy skins or ascended items you might need. And any Mad King weapon set you drop? Hundreds of gold on the Trading Post—just check it out.
I’m not level 80 yet—can I still participate?
Absolutely! Doesn’t matter if you’re level 30, 20, or 56—you can still farm the Labyrinth and do other event activities. Actually, you should! Farm those bags for gold, level up, and enjoy the rewards. Plus, valuable drops keep bringing in gold, and don’t forget the chance for Ember Infusions, which also sell for nice gold. No level 80? No problem.
Labyrinth Farming Tips!
-
Follow a commander.
-
If possible, bring passive support characters (like Herald) to buff teammates while just walking around collecting loot.
-
Break doors! Break as many as you can for more T&T bags.
-
Ranged characters—yes, use them. Avoid melee weapons in big 50-player parties; mobs will be dead before you even get close.
-
Quick tip: if Autoloot isn’t on in Tyria Master points, prepare for a loot avalanche. Your finger might never leave the F key!
Thanks for sticking with me and reading this far, folks! You’re the best 💖 Take care of yourselves, and I’ll keep sharing updates on this event as they come.
