Hey everyone, Yusking here with you! Don’t forget to follow me at Yusking and of course, smash that subscribe button!!!
Alright guys, the countdown has officially begun—the new DLC is dropping soon! I’m hyped because, honestly, after stalking ArenaNet’s official forums like a hawk trying to peek at every little detail, I wasn’t fully satisfied. My brain is buzzing with so many question marks, and I want to share all of them with you.
First off, the official announcement said no new scenario or map would be coming—they promised it would release around January. But if you watch the trailers, it looks like a map is actually on the way. Maybe the ArenaNet folks managed to squeeze in both a map and a scenario. Or maybe we’re only getting one or two episodes now, and we’ll have to wait a few more months for the rest. Scenario fans are definitely scratching their heads right now.
On the other hand, PvP and WvW players are wondering: with the new specs coming, which were already insanely broken, how much have they been stabilized? How balanced are they really? Players who grind through content are worried. The new specializations will definitely shake up balance in both PvP and WvW—no question about it. At first, chaos will reign, but I trust ArenaNet to fix the gaps and differences over time.

We mentioned the new map earlier, right? Well, guess what—two new legendary weapons are coming: one spear and one staff. So if you’re the type who likes to grab achievements fast and claim your gear immediately, this is your jam! 😎
Now, I can already hear some of you saying, “Ugh, this DLC system is starting to feel like WoW!” And yeah, I get it. I feel the same way. Paying for a new DLC every single year can sting a little financially, but the content quality should never drop. Especially for newcomers: when they try to complete old achievements on past maps, it’s becoming a real challenge to find players. Living Seasons 3, 4, 5, and a bunch of other maps are barely active anymore. Only a few players actively run events. Most people have already moved on to new content. How ArenaNet will fix this? I have no clue.
For example, in Living Season 3, to craft the Aurora legendary trinket, you need to complete dozens of achievements. Some bosses are so tough that 3–4 players can’t even take them down. Naturally, this raises the question: will the new maps allow us to craft legendary trinkets or rings more easily? 🤔
The new LFG system is another hot topic. We’ll have to wait and see. If I can do fractals and raids solo now, does that mean I don’t need a squad? Has GW2 officially decided to become more MMO-lite than full-on MMORPG? Reddit and GW2 forums are buzzing with this debate. Will it work like training, or can we actually get the same drops solo as we would with a squad? Lots of question marks here.
Gem Store is changing. Wizard’s Vault and Black Lion Chest are getting updates. Tons of new items and fashion gear are on the way. But will it be a completely new system or the old one with tweaks? Still unclear. Keep an eye on Gem–Gold prices—they’ve been swinging wildly lately!
The new Skimmer mount is arriving with some fresh features. Plus, new mount skins are coming as usual, with special DLC-exclusive content too.
So, to summarize in a nice Q&A format:
New scenario coming?
-
Yes, probably 1–2 episodes.
New map coming?
-
Yes, and it comes with Home Instance!

Yup, both are coming.
Are the new specializations balanced?
-
No one knows yet, we’ll see in practice.
New LFG system?
-
Yes, but the solo drops are still a question mark.
New legendary items?
-
Yes! So far we know the spear and staff are coming.
New fractal, raid, and strike missions?
-
No info yet.
Finally, my personal advice: if you’re new to the game, take it slow. There’s so much DLC and content waiting for you that you don’t need to rush into the new stuff. If you already have all previous packs, with their scenarios, achievements, hero points, and master points, your PvE content is already packed for 1–2 years. So don’t freak out and buy the DLC the minute it drops. Of course, if you see a good discount, grab it—but no need to rush playing it.
