GUILD WARS 2 – ARMOR SETS & ITEMS (Made Simple) Quick Note: Hey veterans 👀 — if you spot something wrong or missing, drop a comment and set me straight. Beginners — got questions? That’s what the comments are for. Don’t be shy! Yo folks, I’m back again! ✌️ We live in a time where you can literally find any info you need about Guild Wars 2: YouTube vids, guides, friends yelling at you on Discord… And yet somehow, we still manage to run around clueless. (Yes, guilty as charged 😂). Anyway, enough chit-chat — let’s get into today’s topic. What’s on the menu? If you’re new and wondering: “Which armor set should I go for?” “Do I need Power or Condi?” “What the heck do these colors mean?” “And what about endgame, huh?” I’ve got you covered. Here’s the breakdown, nice and easy. a. Which armor sets are commonly used? For PvE: Power DPS = burst damage. Great if bosses sit still like a training dummy. Condi DPS = damage over time (burn, poison, torment, ...

NA vs EU: Which Server Should You Really Pick?

Image
Hey everyone! How’s it going? Everything good? Life treating you well? 😎 I thought I’d kick off this new post by annoying you with a few questions and just chatting a bit. Lately, I’ve been getting questions from all sorts of players, and even my own friends, so I figured, why not make a post about it? There’s been a lot of chatter about servers in the game—especially WvW—and how things used to be kinda messy. But shoutout to the awesome folks at ArenaNet, they sorted it all out pretty cleanly recently. Big thanks to them! ❤️ Alright, so yeah, all servers are gone now, but I’ll dive into that more when I start covering WvW content. You’ll notice a “Region Selection” thing on the login screen, that’s where you pick your server. A lot of questions I got were like: “NA or EU—which one’s better?” So let’s break it down together. I’ll also add my personal take based on what I’ve seen and the conversations I’ve had, and I’m sure you’ll agree with some of it. I’m splittin...

GUILD WARS 2 SLANG

Image
Hey folks, how’s it going? Let’s dive straight in. In Guild Wars 2, you can’t just write long essays to chat with other players. Like every game, GW2 has its own set of abbreviations. Even some veteran players get confused sometimes. Our goal here: go through the commonly used abbreviations. They can save your life in chat or in the LFG system, seriously. Quick example: you don’t type “I must look in Trading Post!” Instead, it’s TP for Trading Post. Some people even use AH for Action House, but 95% of the time it’s TP. And TP isn’t only for Trading Post—it can also mean Teleport to friends. Confusing? A little. Stick with me. Here’s a starter pack of abbreviations I can think of: WB – World Boss WP – Waypoint CC – Crowd Control Com – Commander Ment – Mentor JP – Jumping Puzzle T1-2-3-4 – Tier Adps – Alac DPS (support) Qdps – Quickness DPS (support) Every open-world meta has its own abbreviations. For example: Auric Basin meta → AB ...

Fractals! (PvE Content)

Image
Fractals! (PvE Content) Hey folks! 🎮 When it comes to PvE stuff in GW2, Fractals are basically the king. Okay, maybe strike missions could fight for the top spot, but let’s be real—fractals are the thing you can spam every day without getting bored (well, kinda 😅). Why are they so good? Easy: 💰 Gold, baby. On average you’re pulling in 10–15 gold per run. Throw in mats and random drops and you’re suddenly looking at 20–25 gold. Not bad for yelling at bosses and watching your healer suffer, right? So what’s the deal with Fractals? Unlike other PvE modes, fractals come with this special pain mechanic called Agony (yes, the name says it all 💀). But before we get there, here’s the basic structure: There are 100 fractal levels , split into tiers: Tier 1 : Lvls 1–25 (T1 for short) Tier 2 : Lvls 26–50 (T2) Tier 3 : Lvls 51–75 (T3) Tier 4 : Lvls 76–100 (T4, aka “welcome to hell”) At the start, T1 is chill—you don’t even need agony resistance. But as you climb high...

How to Unlock Your Griffon

Image
Hey folks! I’m back again with a brand-new post for you all!  👉 In this post, I’m gonna show you how to snag the epic Griffon mount! Griffon Quest So check it, once you wrap up the Path of Fire story, weird stuff starts popping up in your bags — like some funky Strange Pellet of Bones and Fur, Strange Droppings (ew), and a Strange Feather. Basically, the game’s way of saying: “Yo, griffons exist, go find ‘em.” 🐦✨ These things point you to Beastmaster Ghazal chilling in The Menagerie at the Garden of Seborhin (north Vabbi). He’ll then throw you over to his buddy Seeker Kandake, hanging out at Spearmarshal’s Lament in southeast Vabbi. ⚠ ️ Side note: You don’t actually need these weird items to start the griffon grind. They’re just like… “lore sprinkles.”  Getting to Kandake (aka the first mini-adventure) Start at Vehtendi Academy Waypoint  Head southeast toward Vehtendi Vineyard  Before hitting the grapes, cut east. Oh, surprise! Welcome to a brandstorm — ...

“Which Guild Wars 2 Expansion Should I Buy? (2025 Guide)”

Image
Which Guild Wars 2 Expansion Should I Buy? (2025 Guide) WHICH EXPANSION SHOULD I BUY? Yes friends, usually when we first start Guild Wars 2, we begin with the free version. We try the game out, and if we enjoy it—or when we get frustrated with the limited features of a free account—we start thinking about buying a DLC expansion. Of course, players with sufficient financial means can instantly buy all the expansions at once, paying around $100 (or whatever it costs) with a credit card. But what if you don’t want to spend that much money? What if a few months later you regret it and ask yourself, "Why did I buy all the expansions at once?" Or maybe your budget only allows you to buy one or two expansions. In that case, you'll naturally wonder: Which expansion should I buy first? First, you can buy all expansions directly from the official Guild Wars 2 website. That part is clear. However, if you decide not to buy ...

DUNGEONS

Image
Did you mean GOLD or…? MMORPG games have stood out for content that brings players together and encourages cooperative play. Sometimes this content is PvE, sometimes PvP, and other times WvW or Guild vs Guild. As the game evolves, new content is introduced, but certain features remain indispensable for players. In Guild Wars 2, the content that stands out the most and retains a large player base is open-world events and world boss metas. These take the top spots. Let’s remember that under the PvE heading, we are discussing PvE content. PvP and WvW are completely separate worlds, each with its unique content, as I have emphasized in all my articles. Dungeon System in Guild Wars 2 Let’s talk about the dungeon system in our game. Back before the Fractal system was introduced or before it took its current form, dungeons already existed. What do dungeons offer? What will I gain from doing a dungeon? For new players, many questions may arise. First, I want to clarif...
